All physiotherapists registered to practise in Prince Edward Island are qualified to provide safe and effective physiotherapy. They have met national entry-level education and practice standards, and have successfully passed a standardized physiotherapy competency examination prior to being registered with the college of physiotherapists in this province.




Sheila originally hails from British Columbia and has lived in PEI since 2007. She completed her BSc at UPEI, attended Dalhousie for her Physiotherapy degree and now lives in Kelvin Grove with her husband and two daughters. Sheila works at Prince County Hospital and is the Past President for the PEI Physiotherapy Association. When not working, Sheila can be found gardening (aka feeding the mosquitoes), running trails, or driving her kids to any of their many sports/rec activities.






Sabrina Nunn is an acute care physiotherapist at Prince County Hospital, with clinical interest in cardiorespiratory PT, critical care, palliative care, and geriatric rehabilitation. She completed her Masters of Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University (2021) and a Bachelor of Kinesiology from Acadia University (2019). She joined the PEI Physiotherapy Association board in 2024 and stepped into the president role this year. Originally from French River, PE, Sabrina spends her time outside of work with her family and her dog, Winston and stays active through recreational sports like volleyball, soccer, and curling.


Angela grew up in scenic Enmore, PEI. She graduated from Dalhousie University with a BscPT in 1988. Angela spent most of her career at Prince County Hospital in Summerside but also had the opportunity to work in Community Hospitals, Long Term Care and Home Care. She is mostly retired now but still works on a casual basis at Prince County Hospital. Angela has been a member of CPA since graduation and served as Secretary and President of the PEI Branch, prior to the inception of PEIPA. She has always been committed to raising the profile of Physiotherapy on PEI and hopes to bring that experience to her role as the Special Projects Representative. Angela lives in Summerside with her husband and enjoys camping, knitting, baking, and spending time with friends and family-especially her two grandsons.


Emily Townshend, who comes to us from Souris, PEI, completed her Kinesiology degree at UPEI and then graduated from the Dalhousie Physiotherapy program in 2018. Emily works both in home care in the Kings County region and privately in long-term care. She has a strong interest in working with the geriatric population. During her time on the PEIPA board, Emily has served as the Secretary. On the weekends, Emily can usually be found with family or friends – ideally playing lawn games!


Paige Martin is from Rocky Point, PEI. She holds both a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Bachelor of Education from the University of New Brunswick, as well as a Masters of Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University.
Paige is the Private Practice Representative on the PEIPA board. She owns and operates PEI Pelvic and Breast Health Inc. in Cornwall, PEI. Outside of the clinic, Paige enjoys running, strength training, sailing, and spending time with her husband and small children on their hobby farm.


Vanessa grew up in Lower Coverdale, NB and graduated with a BSc in Psychology and Biology from Mount Allison University. Following that, she completed her Physiotherapy degree at Dalhousie University, graduating in 2013. Vanessa now resides in Summerside with her husband, two sons and golden retriever. She enjoys outdoor time spent with her family. Vanessa works for Health PEI at PCH’s outpatient physiotherapy department as well as with the Provincial Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program.
