Executive Director

Lisa Pike has been the CEO of the Atlantic Physiotherapy Association ( PEI, NB and NL) for 14 years and is the second longest serving CPA Branch executive in Canada. Based in NL, Lisa is a Memorial University Graduate with studies in Political Science, History, Criminology, Public Administration, Business Studies and Leadership. Lisa has over 20 years experience as an executive director in the non profit and association world and extensive experience leading volunteer boards across the country. In her spare time Lisa is an avid hiker and runner, travelling to find the next adventure.

Vanessa grew up in Lower Coverdale, NB and graduated with a BSc in Psychology and Biology from Mount Allison University. Following that, she completed her Physiotherapy degree at Dalhousie University, graduating in 2013. Vanessa now resides in Summerside with her husband, two sons and golden retriever. She enjoys outdoor time spent with her family. Vanessa works for Health PEI at PCH’s outpatient physiotherapy department as well as with the Provincial Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program.

Branch President

Sheila originally hails from British Columbia and has lived in PEI since 2007. She completed her BSc at UPEI, went to Dalhousie for her Physiotherapy degree, and now lives in Wilmot Valley with her husband and two daughters. Sheila works at Prince County Hospital in Acute Care and is currently manning the role of President of the Prince Edward Island Physiotherapy Association. She is very excited to work with this amazing Board and hopes to bring some real benefits to the membership. When not working or sending countless emails to the poor board, Sheila can be found gardening (aka feeding the mosquitoes), running trails, mountain biking, or camping with her family.

Harrison McIver grew up in Kinkora, PEI and graduated with a BSc. from UPEI in 2013 where he played varsity hockey for the Panthers. Following that, he completed his Physiotherapy degree at Dalhousie University, graduating in 2016. Harrison now resides in West Royalty with his wife and toddler son, enjoys playing hockey and doing CrossFit. Harrison works with Reactive Health of the UPEI campus and brings a perspective from the Private Practice Sector. Harrison is currently serving as Communications Co-chair and Education Co-chair with the PEIPA.

Jenna Jo McDonald is a native to Kelly’s Cross, PEI and attended UPEI where she completed a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition degree, while playing varsity soccer for five years. She served as a trainer for UPEI Women’s basketball team, worked as a lifeguard and aqua fitness instructor, and went on to complete her Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy degree at Dalhousie in 2018. Jenna Jo currently works at Charlottetown Physiotherapy and Beach Grove Home while serving as the Treasurer of the PEI Physiotherapy Association.

Amy Irving grew up in beautiful O’Leary, PEI. She completed her BSc Kin at the University of New Brunswick and then went on to graduate from Dalhousie School of Physiotherapy in 2009. Amy is a physiotherapist at and clinic owner of You Move Physio in Alberton, PEI. Working in a rural area provides her with a benefit of treating a wide range of conditions and she believes that building a positive relationship with your client is the most important aspect of a treatment plan. Amy is currently serving as Education Co-Chair for the PEIPA. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and yoga.

Angela grew up in scenic Enmore PEI. She graduated from Dalhousie with a BSc in Physiotherapy in 1988. While she has spent the majority of her career in acute care at the Prince County Hospital, she has also had the opportunity to work in community hospitals, long term care and home care. She is presently the Physiotherapy Supervisor at Prince County Hospital and Rehabilitation Supervisor for the Community Hospitals West (Community and Western Hospitals).  During her career she has been devoted to recruitment and retention and raising the profile of physiotherapy in PEI. Angela has been a member of CPA since she graduated and has served as secretary and president of the PEI Branch of CPA before the inception of the PEIPA.  As the Public practice representative Angela hopes to share her experience and continue to advocate for physiotherapy in PEI. A mom of 2 sons and a grandmother of 2 adorable boys, Angela lives with her husband in Summerside. She is known for her love of camping, knitting and baking.

Emily Townshend, who comes to us from Souris, PEI, completed her Kinesiology degree at UPEI and then graduated from the Dalhousie Physiotherapy program in 2018. Emily works at the Community Hospital in O’Leary and has a strong interest in working with the geriatric population. This is Emily’s first year on the Board and she is currently serving as Secretary for the PEIPA. She is looking forward to taking it all in and learning as much as possible! On the weekends Emily can usually be found with family or friends – ideally playing lawn games!

Shelley Mokler-Clark

Shelley Mokler-Clark

Shelley Mokler-Clark attended the University of PEI for her BSc. in Biology in 1992 and then went on to Queen’s University School of Rehabilitation for her BScPT in 1996. Shelley is a well seasoned, bilingual (French and English) physiotherapist with 24 years of orthopedic and neuro therapy under her belt, having specialized in vestibular therapy and head injury rehab over the last 13 years. Shelley is currently serving as the Private Practice Representative for the PEIPA and works at Charlottetown Physiotherapy. Shelley is the mother of 4 teenage plus daughters and wife to her engineer husband of 22 years. She understands the importance of nurturing and listening and knows that coping with lifestyle stressors is what makes us stronger people.
